Primary Responsibilities Include: overseeing day-to-day operations of the Fitness and Aquatics programs. Responsibilities in these areas include hiring, training, managing and evaluating group fitness instructor, personal trainers, lifeguards, Water Safety Instructors, Lifeguard Instructors, scheduling and coordinating group fitness certification workshops, scheduling and conducting in-service training, scheduling and coordinating aquatics staff and swim instructors, and performing related duties as assigned. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing special events and assisting in supervising select evening programs. Secondary responsibilities include supervising and scheduling graduate assistants working in the program, assisting with special programming, ensures customer service is courteous, respectful and efficient. Performs to the standards as part of a customer service oriented team and working with organizations campus-wide in planning special activities. Evening and weekend work will be required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in aquatics and fitness.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodation.

Current CPR and First Aid with AED certification preferred.
Possession of Aerobic and/or Fitness instructor certification(s) in one or more of the following nationally recognized health/fitness organizations: the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and/or the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AAFA) preferred.
Current Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor certifications.
