Provide support to professional staff within the Intramural Sports Program and manage a comprehensive customer service office. Employee will be enthusiastic about the development of students in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Duties include: management of student office personnel, point-of-sale transactions, providing positive customer service through face-to-face, phone, email, and social media interactions. Must be proficient with technology and various office equipment. Work extensively with Filemaker, RecTrac, IMLeagues, Microsoft Office, and possess the ability to learn other programs utilized within Campus Recreation.
During the summer months, provide program support to the Husker Kids/Husker Adventures Camps administered by the Sport Clubs & Youth Camps program. Duties include: camp registration, management of student office personnel, and customer service to campers and parents. Must possess the ability to connect with youth and families.
Required: Associate’s degree plus 2 years of general administrative support and/or collegiate recreational sports experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must have supervisory and customer service experience. Proficiency in computer software necessary. Demonstrated organizational, and oral and written communication skills essential.
Preferred: Work experience in a collegiate environment. Experience in the support of sporting events. CPR/FA certifications or have the ability to successfully attain. Customer service, adaptability to constant change and variety, and telephone skills.
