The Director Physical Education and Recreation and Associate in Physical Education is responsible for coordinating physical education, recreation, fitness, intramural, club sport, youth and sports camps and wellness. Serving as the Department's primary campus liaison for student wellness and physical education.
RESPONSIBILITIES: -Assuming leadership of the Physical Education Department including oversight for hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising staff. -Serving as the Department's Director of Undergraduate studies and coordinating the required Physical Education program -Collaborating with campus partners on recreation and wellness programs including promoting PE, Fitness, Intramural, Wellness and Camps -Teaching classes in the Required PE program -Developing and managing Physical Education operating budgets and meeting revenue expectations -Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested -Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Council of Ivy League Presidents, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations -Contributing to the maintenance and good working relationships with all members of the Department -Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field. Minimum of five years of related experience. Demonstrated experience in managing physical education programs at the collegiate level. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
