The Coordinator of Competitive Sports is responsible for developing and coordinating intramural and recreational sports activities to meet the needs of the campus community. In addition to these duties he/she will mentor and develop a comprehensive sports club program made up of competitive and/or recreational sport clubs. He/she will also assist with the operation and administration of the Heskett Center, assist with other Campus Recreation programming activities and special events. Responsibilities will require evening and weekend hours beyond the normal work day.
One year full time experience campus or municipality recreation (NOTE: 2 years Graduate Assistantship =1 year full-time experience.
Previous experience training sport officials.
Experience creating and executing a diverse and comprehensive calendar of sports events and activities.
Experience and knowledge utilizing computer software programs specific to Recreational Sports programming.
Experience in officiating various recreational sport activities.
Familiarity with sport liability and risk management.
