Description Supervise, organize and manage all aspects of classes and instructional clinics. Coordinate 40+ weekly fitness classes along with 40+ weekly instructional clinics to include instruction, facilities and equipment, and scheduling. Recruit and supervise all instructors; verify qualifications/certifications; directly supervise one graduate assistant. Monitor daily operation of classes and clinics. Monitor daily operation of computerized registration process. Enforce policies and monitor procedures for registration and participation. Develop annual budget justification. Maintain safety of equipment; evaluate and update/purchase new equipment as necessary. Communicate with instructors each semester regarding: Class schedule, semester dates, new policies and procedures. Prepare all information for Recreation Rap-up each semester. Risk Management: Develop, maintain and enforce standards of safety and risk management including environment, equipment and instruction. Marketing: Assist with marketing efforts including preparation for Rap-Up each semester, promotion of demonstrations and special programs. Evaluate trends and develop/update program offerings as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Administration or related field and three years of related experience; or combination of training an experience. Must have CPR and First Aid certifications.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Sports Administration or related field. Three years of full-time recreation management experience. In addition to a nationally recognized group exercise certification, the preferred candidate will also be an American College of Sport Medicine's Certified Exercise Physiologist.

The purpose of the Department of Recreational Services is to promote healthy lifestyles through exceptional recreational programs, services, and facilities. On campus, Recreational Services is housed in the 161,000 square foot Student Recreation Center (SRC). Our two off-campus sites are also managed by the department; Panthersville Recreation Complex, an outdoor lighted multipurpose athletic fiel...d area and the Indian Creek Recreation Area which includes the Lodge, Challenge Course, Outpost, an outdoor pool, event lawn, and sand volleyball court. Recreational Services also provides programs at services at our 4 Perimeter locations of Clarkston, Decatur, Newton and Dunwoody.
