Ensure a healthy & safe environment for patrons. Recruit, hire, train, schedule & evaluate student staff (approx. 75). Coordinate the use of all aquatics spaces for programming and revenue. Coordinate and schedule spaces for groups, departments and organizations. Manage the mechanical & chemical operations of the aquatic center, lap pool, leisure pool & spa. Oversee maintenance issues in Aquatic and Leisure Pool. Administer the American Red Cross program for the department. Work with Academic departments (HESS) with classes at the Aquatic Center. Develop/Administer and schedule programs for aquatics (including Learn-to-Swim) and department collaborations. Complies with Texas Tech’s policies, procedures, and work rules.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in the area of specialization or closed related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Water Safety IT/Lifeguard IT CPO/AFO Participant level certification in ARC LG/CPR/AED/FA & WSI.
