GA information for the 2017-2018 school year:
Assistantships are active from August through May of each academic year
Salary of approximately $1,280 per month (paid bi-weekly) over the 10-month appointment; if raises are approved by the State of Georgia, this amount may increase
$25 mandatory tuition fee per semester
Mandatory student fees are approximately $1,135 per semester (this includes fees for the University Health Center, Ramsey Student Center membership, transportation, athletic, technology, and activity fees).
International students are required to pay a $62 per semester International Student Compliance Fee
Some specialty graduate programs require additional fees that are not covered by the assistantship (i.e. professional and distance learning programs)
All students on assistantship are required to have health insurance and mandatory health insurance premiums will be deducted from your assistantship paycheck unless you qualify to opt out of the University System’s health insurance plan.
