The Associate Director for Facilities and Operations will report directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director in charge of Recreation, and will serve on a senior management team responsible for creating and supporting a comprehensive array of programs and services that meets the wellness-related needs of the University community. As the individual in charge of facility oversight, the priorities for this position are to manage all of the space and infrastructure needs associated with the Recreation Center department, including the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center, an outdoor natatorium, the 8 court tennis complex and 6 outdoor fields. The Associate Director will oversee and strategically manage all facility related budgets, as well as supervise members of the facility and operations staff. This position will work in conjunction with the Senior Associate Athletic Director on capital projects, long term financial forecasting and the development and execution of risk management and emergency preparation strategies.
At least 4 years of experience. Management experience and professional experience with budgets, fiscal projections, and reporting.
Proven exceptional managerial, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills including both written and verbal. Proven ability to do a high level of strategic planning, conceptualization, and critical thinking in a complex, fast-paced organization. Proven accounting and fiscal planning skills.
