The Facility Scheduling Specialist reports to the Customer and Event Services Coordinator. This position is responsible managing internal and external scheduling for the Department of Recreational Sports which includes rentals and reservation requests for DRS facilities, equipment and staff to support daily, term, and annual activities. The position is responsible for advising OSU Community user groups, external user groups and DRS staff in planning and supporting all events from the point of initial inquiry through the evaluation process. The position is responsible for gathering, sorting, formatting, and calendaring data related to Rec Sports classes, activities, and events. This position requires a thorough knowledge of DRS activities, university communication channels, student organizations and structures, and DRS business practices to determine appropriate limitations and processes for scheduling and communication with clients, staff, and vendors. High levels of professionalism and collaborative working relationships with administrative staff and student events staff in the department ensure that the overarching schedule reflects balance, consistency, and clarity in policy and procedure.

Minimum Qualifications: Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures. Preferred qualifications: Experience assisting a manager with monitoring, auditing, or directing a program or operation, working with students, processing contracts and/or certificates of insurance, RecTrac software proficiency, billing, and databases.
