The Club Sports Graduate Assistant (GA) position will require weekend and evening hours. This position will serve in an administrative role in the Club Sports Department and work in conjunction with the Director of Club Sports and Assistant Director of Club Sports in the oversight and operation of all 29 club sport teams. This role will require some nights and weekends.
Anticipated start date is August 1, 2018.
Assist with the scheduling of games and practices time for each of the club sports.
Assist teams and coaches in securing officials for games/matches while ensuring that all paperwork is handed in and filled out correctly.
Responsible for maintaining the Club Sports website and ensuring that all of the information and data is up to date at the start of each work day.
Assist with overall development and growth of the department of Club Sports which may include implementation of new sports.
Responsible for maintaining and collecting statistics and game reports from each team within 24 hours after each game or performance.
Assist in the management of the club sports budget and performing accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
Will serve as a liaison between club sport athletes and the Department of Club Sports
Serve as a Sport Administrator for 8-10 teams as assigned by the Director.
Assist with the selection, management and evaluation of coaches for select club teams.
Responsible for coordinating Club Sports assessment reports
Responsible for coordinating transportation for teams to events that require bussing.
Responsible for maintaining Club Sports Athlete database which includes all current SHU Club Sport Athletes.
Responsible for maintaining consistent contact with prospective students and maintaining a database which contains their contact information.
Will be required to send out emails each week regarding all club sports activities.
Attend club sports games, events and competitions as assigned by supervisor. This will require some nights and weekends.
Must be accepted and enrolled in a Sacred Heart University Graduate degree program
