Graduate Assistant Benefits/Compensation: Tuition waiver for in or out of state, covers 9 credit hours/semester. Student is responsible for payment of university's general fees ($500-$700/semester). Value of approximately $18,000 for out of state.
Anticipated Stipend: $8,400/August-May (June/July hourly employment may be available)
Additional benefits including possible assistance with professional development opportunities (State Workshop-IRSA, Region III Student Lead On, NIRSA)
Employment Dates: August to May (June/July hourly employment may be available). Two year assistantship commitment. Second year renewable based on performance evaluation of first year.

Overview: This position offers the opportunity to gain experiences in both intramural sports as well as club sports side of Campus Recreation while pursuing a graduate degree in an area appropriate to the candidate's goals. The successful candidate will assist the Associate Director of Competitive Sports & Facility Operations with the coordination of programs and the supervision of student staff.
Intramural Sports Responsibilities: Coordinate the training, scheduling and evaluating sports officials and supervisors, Conduct student staff meetings, Scheduling games and create league and tournament brackets, Assist with onsite supervision of games, Market programs, Facilitate student staff payroll, Conduct sport participant meetings, Update and enforce policies, Attend graduate, staff and university functions, Maintain positive and professional attitude toward ISU and Campus Recreation, Assist with other duties as assigned. Club Sports Responsibilities: Advise leadership of sports clubs, Provide leadership development, Ensure risk management practices, Assist clubs with budgeting, facility requests, marketing, and travel paperwork, Assist with event supervision as needed, Assist with the development of new sports clubs as the opportunity arises, Attend graduate, staff and university functions, Maintain positive and professional attitude toward ISU and Campus Recreation
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and acceptance/enrollment into an ISU graduate program. (related degree: M.S. Recreation & Sport Management). Candidates should have aspirations towards a career in campus recreation/recreational sports. Candidates should have experience as a campus recreation student leader with previous intramural sports officiating experience. Club Sports experience is recommended but not required. Previous experience with "IMLeagues" scheduling software a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for supervising the daily operation of the two ISU pools (SRC and Arena) and student staff (Lifeguards, WSI’s and LGI’s). Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating Aquatics Staff. Assist with development and programming of Aquatics events. Responsible for risk management and staff certification for the whole building. Conduct staff training(s) and meetings for student Aquatics Staff. And other duties as assigned. This Ga will also have the opportunity to assist with two campus bike races ran by Campus Rec (Fall-Trike Derby and Spring-Tandem Race).
Requirements: Candidates must possess a current Lifeguarding Certification, First Aid, and CPR/AED certification. *LGI certification and WSI is preferred but not required. Bachelor's Degree and acceptance/enrollment into an ISU graduate program (available related graduate degree: M.S. Recreation and Sport Management). Previous bike tech experience a bonus.
