Ball State University Student Center is accepting applications for a professional position as Assistant Director for Programs. Ball State University is inviting applicants with a passion for working in the Recreation/Sports field to be a part of the Office of Sports Facilities Management & Recreation Services Team.
Major responsibilities: Responsible for Administer all aspects of formal recreation programs and fitness center management for the Office of Sports Facilities Management and Recreation Services. The programs of oversight include but are not limited to: Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Youth and Family Programming and Rec-Fit Classes. The fitness center management include two fitness centers, a functional fitness gym, and Rec-Fit Rooms.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree by date of appointment.
At least three years of professional campus recreation or related experience. Professional experience must include supervision of students.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in recreation administration, sport administration, or related field.
At least four years of professional campus recreation or related experience; experience must include supervision of student staff or equivalent in related experience.
