The University Of Florida Department Of Recreational Sports is now accepting applications for the position of Coordinator for Fitness Programs. This position assists in managing a comprehensive Fitness program to include; fitness assessment, personal training, group fitness, small group training, massage therapy, and strength and conditioning in multiple campus locations for University of Florida students. Primary focus: supervising the Group Fitness & Small Group Training programs. Recruit, hire, schedule, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate fitness program assistants, group fitness instructors, fitness interns, and other student/OPS employees. Teach, lead and implement training courses to certify and educate group fitness instructors and small group training coaches based on accredited curriculum. Provide direction for equipment replacement, equipment purchasing, and long range planning.

The minimum requirements for the position are a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
