COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Full tuition waiver for in or out of state residents. Stipend of $11,700 for 9 months. We also offer funding for professional travel. Fees are covered by each student. Possible summer employment.
The Health Education Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) shall assist the Health Education Staff with the following duties/responsibilities;
Coordination of Wellness State Peer Education programs
Recruitment, teaching, and supervision of Share the WEALTH student peer educators
Mentoring, and supervision of Greek Peer Education program
Assessment of student health issues and concerns
Marketing and recruiting new peer educators for all programs
Evaluation of existing peer education programs
Coordination of health education programs and awareness events for the greater University
Serve as a resource for health information to the greater University
Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, accepted in a graduate program in Health Education and Promotion, Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Counseling Psychology, or closely related field. Excellent oral communication skills are necessary. Ideal candidates will be able to commit to this position for a minimum of two years. Position will begin in August 2018.
