Join one of the most dynamic recreational sports program in the country as we prepare to open an expanded and renovated recreation center of approximately 470,000 square feet in fall 2012. We are excited to be a hallmark of our campus and are committed to our mission – to enhance the quality of life at Purdue through engagement in recreation, which fosters an appreciation for a healthy lifestyle and promotes lifelong learning. The new facility will include 47,000 sq. ft. of drop-in fitness space, 9 multi-purpose rooms,dedicated cycling studio, multiple gymnasiums (6-court gym, 3-court gym, 3-court net gym, and a feature gym), competition and recreational pools, 2 indoor tracks, 16 racquetball courts, climbing and bouldering walls, massage rooms, demonstration kitchen, a separate indoor turf facility, and more. In addition, outdoor facilities consist of over 100 acres, with a lighted section for Intramural Sports that can accommodate up to 6 Flag Football and 4 Soccer Fields or 4 Softball and 2 FF/Soc. The Club Sports program has 8 practice/game fields, 4 of which are under lights.

Job Summaries:
Club Sports - Reports to Assistant Director, Club Sports and assists in all aspects of program management and enhancement. Successful candidate must have a solid understanding of club sports programming including leadership development, event planning, and risk management.
Fitness/Wellness - Reports to two Assistant Directors, Fitness/Wellness and assists in all areas of fitness/wellness. Specific responsibilities may be with personal training and/or group fitness. However, this position has the ability to be tailored to best fit strengths and needs of both the successful candidate and our program.
Intramural Sports - Reports to two Assistant Directors, IM Sports and assists in all aspects of program development, implementation, and enhancement. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of Intramural Sports and officiating knowledge (with previous experience officiating team sports preferred).
