Minimum requirements: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Must have, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Preferred requirements:
Master's degree in Recreation, Business, Higher Education, Outdoor Education, or related field.
Five or more years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience.
Professional experience developing and administering outdoor programming, outdoor gear rental/retail operations or recreation activity programming.
Experience in working with cash register or point of sale systems.
Demonstrated experience administering risk management practices for recreation programs or rental programs.
Demonstrated success in personnel training and supervision of multiple part time staff.
Demonstrated success in working collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies for the development and implementation of recreational programs to a culturally diverse population.
Experience maintaining bikes or alpine skis.
Possession of certification in bike maintenance or ski tuning.
Demonstrated pursuit of professional development through participation in a national industry association or organization.
