Job Responsibilities: Assist the Fitness & Wellness Director & Coordinator with the daily management of a comprehensive Fitness & Wellness program to include group exercise (60+ classes per week), personal training, special event promotion and wellness programming. This will include recruiting, hiring and training fitness staff; developing and leading staff in-services; scheduling and overseeing personal training sessions and assessments; assisting in budget preparation and management; assist in the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of all program equipment. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant must instruct two group exercise classes per week. Other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Preference will be given to candidates with previous group exercise and/or personal training experience. Outdoor Recreation-Outdoor Center/Sewell Park/Adventure Trip Program
Job Responsibilities: Report to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation/Outdoor Recreation while managing the daily operations of the Outdoor Center, Sewell Park and the Adventure Trip Program. Will hire, train, schedule and evaluate student staff and manage programs, equipment, trips, activities and events, prepare reports, attend meetings and serve on committees. Job Responsibilities: Assist the Coordinator of Marketing with department promotional efforts including, but not limited to: • On-campus promotions, advertising, department and program brochures. • Assist in development of marketing media and strategic planning. • Oversee student staff of graphic designers, photographers, and videographers • Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Recreation Administration or related field; Desktop publishing, word processing, and spreadsheet computer skills, strong oral, written communications and editing skills. Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge is a plus. Job responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant for the Intramural sports program will assist the Intramural Sports Assistant Director with the daily management of the Intramural Sports program. Schedule and manage all league sports and tournaments. Recruit, train and schedule student staff which consists of Intramural Sports supervisors, Officials and Office Assistants. Job responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant for the Facility Operations program will assist the Facility Operations Assistant Director and the Coordinator, Facility Operations with the daily management of drop-in recreation at the Student Recreation Center. This will include staff and program supervision; budget preparation and management; in-service training and facility inspections; special event programming; membership sales; program promotion; equipment inventory; risk management and policy development.
