RECREATIONAL SPORTS GRADUATE ASSISTANT- JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Assist in the administration of all aspects of the Recreational Sports Program, which includes Intramural and Club Sports, with potential opportunities to work with other programs within the department.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, promote, supervise, evaluate and operate Intramural activities.
- Assist with the hiring, training, and evaluation of Recreational Sport Supervisors, Office Assistants, and Intramural Officials.
- Attend and present at official's meetings for all sports.
- Assist with scheduling of officials.
- Maintain daily office hours.
- Assist with advising of individual Club Sports, including but not limited to advising club travel and hosted events, club activities and special events, and club finances.
- Other duties as assigned.
Direct supervision received from the Intramural Sports Coordinator and Club Sports Coordinator.
Part-time Intramural student supervisors, officials, and office assistants.
The Graduate Assistant position is a 2-year position, beginning in mid-August, 2017 with completion in mid-May, 2019.
Package includes Tuition/Fees, Health Insurance, and a stipend of approximately $12,000.00 per academic year. Additional summer employment within the Department is also possible.
Prior experience working with sport programming, intramurals and club sports preferably within a higher education setting. GPA of 3.0+ highly preferred. Full acceptance into a University of Wyoming Graduate Program.
