Bachelor's degree and 5+ years comparable/related experience; management/supervisory skills are required.
Ability to multi- task, work with frequent interruptions, knowledge of all program and service areas.
Needs to be subject matter expert on facility management for a recreation facility with synthetic turf fields and natural turf fields as well as ability to assess fitness equipment, programs that include intramural sports, club sports and athletic training and the risk that pertains to each area.
Must be able to understand and apply NIRSA standards to work and be able to apply industry standards to personnel, equipment, and facilities.
Demonstrated skill to formulate policies and procedures as well as make decisions/interpretation of existing policies and procedures while adhering to changing legal environments and KSU policies.
Proven experience and skill in leadership, coaching and consensus building on significant organizational issues.
Proven experience in development of personnel in the workplace and working through personnel issues with full-time employees.
Ability to work with and communicate effectively with colleagues from across campus, student representatives, and campus departments in reviewing established procedures, discussing improvements, solving problems, and following through with implementing solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to appropriately exercise independent judgment, initiative, tact, diplomacy, flexibility and patience, and to successfully interact with diverse public, academic, staff and student population via written forms, e-communication and in person
Skill to analyze and interpret data and prepare long-range plans and objectives that will inform fiscal management, program management, personnel, and risk management.
Ability to take direction and constructive feedback
CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
