Serve as an advisor and Risk Manager for all Club Sport organizations registered on the EMU campus. Coordinate the development, supervision, promotion, assessment and administration of Club Sport programs and policies. Schedule Club Sports facilities for practice and competition. Advise Club Sport teams on administrative issues regarding budgets and funding streams. Administer Club Sport rosters, ensuring that rosters are EMU registered students. Supervise travel arrangements for each Club that travels. Ensure that all Clubs are recognized student organizations with the Office of Campus Life. Coordinate CPR/1st Aid sessions to members of Club Sport organizations. Assist Club sport teams with purchasing equipment through EMU funded accounts. Ensure that advisors are current and are affiliated with Eastern Michigan University. Ensure that all forms pertaining to each Club Sport are current and on file. Keep current with the developments in the recreational sports profession, specifically as it relates to Club Sport programs. Develop and review budgets, monitor expenses and expenditures and recommend budget allocation for Intramural and Club Sports. Maintain field schedules for club sport practices and home games. Other duties as required.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or recognized international institution of higher education. Experiences in multiple facets of campus recreation facility, preferably Club Sports experience. Must be full or conditionally admitted to a program of study at Eastern Michigan University. Position to begin August, 2017; however we encourage earlier start date if possible. CPR/AED/ First Aid Certificated
