Wingate University Campus Recreation opened our brand new health, wellness and recreation facility, The McGee Center, in January 2017. The first stand alone dedicated recreation space on campus, the 66,000+ square foot facility includes, 2 wood courts, a MAC court, cardio and strength training areas, a functional training space, 2 group fitness studios, an indoor cycling studio, 2 racquetball courts and more!
Graduate Assistant Fitness and Wellness, Campus Recreation
The Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness will be supervised by the Assistant Director in fitness and wellness programming. This program area requires 25-30 hours per week.
Assist with coordinating the Group Fitness program including staff training, marketing and special events.
Maintain and evolve the Personal Training program including 1:1, buddy and small group training.
Coordinate and implement wellness programs for the campus.
Teach group fitness classes (2-3/week.)
Supervise student staff.
Maintain regular office hours.
Other duties as assigned. There will be opportunities to be involved in other administrative areas including facility management and trips.
