Manage and supervise the day to day operations of the Recreation Center and responsible for all service requests, event set-ups, checklists and maintenance/inventory of equipment.
Oversee and manage Locker Rentals, Lost and Found, Towel Service, and check out inventory.
Assist with operations as it pertains to rentals within the Recreation Center.
Responsible for organizing and informing membership of maintenance shut downs, projects, and service interrupts as necessary.
Responsible for the weekly inspection of various activity areas. These inspections are focused on risk management issues as well as cleanliness and organization. Inspection should include lighting, flooring, storage areas, and the overall play environment.
Work collaboratively with Aquatics Coordinator to maintain pool chemistry and mechanical equipment.
Implement a comprehensive student training and development program for the Department of Campus Recreation.
Assist in setting up recruiting and training of staff of 100+ student employees.
Assist in developing and updating all part-time job descriptions.
Create a comprehensive employee orientation and in-service training program to include, customer service and leadership training, sexual harassment and diversity education, blood borne pathogen and chemical safety training, CPR-AED certification, emergency and evacuation procedures.
Create and coordinate employee recognition programs and create a student development series for all part-time staff.
Create and advise a student employee leadership committee.
Responsible for organizing and creating all the Department employee gathering and recognitions.
Assist with the development and revision of recreation center administrative policy and procedure and risk management manuals.
Responsible for making sure that the Recreation Center stays up with all the current trends in facility management and equipment.
Prepare regular written communication such as monthly and annual reports, financial and participation reports and equipment inventory reports.
Contact for CSI as it pertains to program management with the Assistant Director of Membership and Marketing within the department.
Collaborate with other campus departments and Centers administrative staff to develop and implement employee recruitment initiatives, emergency training practices and efficient payroll processing methods.
Assist in implementing a comprehensive cash management plan; ensure staff compliance of all required certifications; HIPAA and FERPA laws.

Bachelor's degree in recreation, sport management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
At least two years experience working in recreation center facility management (graduate assistant experience can be accepted).
