The CSUN Associated Students (AS) is the primary advocate for students at California State University, Northridge and provides excellent, meaningful programs and services designed to enhance and create a spirited learning-focused campus environment.
The Sport Club program includes four professional staff (Sport Club Manager, Sport Club Coordinator, Head Athletic Trainer and Athletic Trainer), a graduate assistant, 25+ student assistants, 29 clubs and over 1,000 Sport Club participants in competitive and recreational clubs.
Oversees the daily operations of the Sport Clubs Office and many of the administrative tasks related to practices, events and the completion of tasks in the Sport Clubs Office. Assists with club advisement and student development. Anticipated start date is July 15, 2017.
Assist with facility management and scheduling of Sport Clubs programs and special events. Assist with marketing, promotion and advertising of the Sport Clubs Program. Assist with the Sport Clubs budgets. Coordinate with Sport Clubs in the planning and implementation of events, tournaments and matches. Maintain records of participants, schedules and results of programs and competitions. Assist in the further development of Sport Clubs manuals and risk management guidelines and procedures compliant with industry standards. Follow up with accidents and incidents and coordinate Sport Clubs Council bi-weekly meetings. Weekly meetings with Sport Clubs Office Supervisor and Building Manager Supervisor. Reports to the Sport Club Coordinator. Other duties as assigned.
Must be accepted and enrolled in a Master's Program at California State University, Northridge. Bachelor’s degree and at least two years experience in recreational sports are required, Sport Club experience is preferred. Certification in basic First Aid, CPR, AED and Preventing Disease Transmission required. Should possess leadership, proficient computer skills and strong oral and written skills.

Additional Salary Information: Tuition is covered for Fall and Spring semester at CSUN. The Graduate Assistant can work up to 20 hours a week while class is in session and up to 30 hours a week when school is out of session as needed.
