Responsible for overseeing various aspects of the Aquatics Program and Camp Nova for Summer 2017. The successful candidate will be highly involved in programming and facility management including, but not limited to, personnel management, risk management, and marketing.
Serve as point person on deck while Camp Nova, recreational swimming, and group lessons (ages 6 months to adulthood) is in the facility.
Conduct swim tests according to policy and submit proper documentation to the Coordinator of Aquatic Programs and Services.
Be familiar with American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels and other Red Cross water safety courses and know how to use course materials effectively.
Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies in accordance with facility emergency action plans.
Report facility issues through the appropriate channels.
Assist in various swim lesson activities, as well as problem solving and brainstorming.
Complete records and reports.
Attend both lifeguard and water safety instructor in-service trainings.
Assist with facility supervision of the Competition Pool and Leisure Pool.
Screening will begin immediately. Position begins June 1, 2017 and ends August 11, 2017.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)
Experience in a university recreation program
Prior aquatics experience & American Red Cross certifications are strongly preferred.
