The Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, Fitness is responsible for the development and administration of a diverse fitness/group exercise program.
Duties include, but are not limited to: oversee the operation and maintenance of group exercise room; designing and maintaining a diverse and accessible schedule of fitness classes; fitness assessments and strength training programs for all abilities and fitness levels of students, faculty, and staff; hire, train and evaluate aerobic/group exercise instructors; prepare inventory, inspection, and participation reports.
Decisions, ideas, and program direction will be left up to the individual. Programs and ideas must conform to the accepted best practices as outlined by the various professional organizations (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS).
