Intramurals and Recreational Sports
Prairie View A&M University and the Intramurals & Recreational Sports department invites applications for the Bowling Center Manager position. This position is responsible for ensuring a service oriented environment while maintaining care of bowling center facilities and equipment. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, managing and coordinating the activities of the bowling center to ensure it becomes financially stable; responsible for area budget program assessment and review and offering revenue generating programs; preparing semi-annual and annual operating reports; establishing, implementing and communicating the marketing strategies to ensure the center achieves its goals and objectives within the specified budget; staying abreast of current regional and national trends regarding area programs through participation in professional organizations and networking; providing effective leadership within the department and effectively managing and supervising all bowling center staff to ensure excellence in customer service is achieved; responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, reprimanding and terminating employees as necessary with the approval of the supervisors; developing, implementing, publicizing, supervising and evaluating comprehensive slate of bowling programming, including lessons, clinics, parties, and related events for student, faculty, staff alumni and community members; responsible for community outreach to ensure community leagues, especially during times when students are off campus; developing and implementing an operations manual; conducting emergency action procedures and risk management plans, including service trainings, drills, and emergency response audits; developing appropriate program assessment tools to measure and reports program effectiveness; working collaboratively with Recreation Sports and Student Affairs; coordinating and attending staff meetings, trainings, and workshops as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS: Interested applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field. Three (3) years of related experience.
