University Recreation (UREC) includes the following program and operational areas: Aquatics, Competitive Sports (intramural sports and sport clubs), Facilities, Fitness, Marketing, and Outdoor Adventure Recreation.

Facility Management & Operations
Manages the operations and maintenance of the Eisiminger Fitness Center, including equipment maintenance and facility cleanliness
Oversees memberships and the rental locker operations
Maintains and administer equipment check-out and sport equipment rental.
Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises 40+ student staff for Eisiminger Fitness Center Operations.
Revise policies & procedures for the proper operation of fitness center facilities as needed
Provide training, continuing education, & development opportunities for student staff
Address membership concerns and customer service for all University Recreation members and guests.
Departmental Risk Management
Member of the departmental emergency response team.
Implements risk management policies.
Enforces rules and regulations specific to the recreational programs and facility.
Ensures that all staff are certified in appropriate areas as needed.
Ensures immediate incident reporting in all areas of responsibility.
Assists with the departmental assessment, including serving on the assessment working group.
Director of University Recreation as needed, including assuming his/her
responsibilities in his/her absence.
Maintains equipment life cycling plans
and capital improvement
plans and projects.
Coordinates staff schedules for all staff professional development and
training and building operations schedule.

Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Business,
Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
and/or related field a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the management and administration of budgets and financial systems
Detail oriented, highly organized individual who has the ability to multitask
and the ability to deal with a variety of situations
and people in a balanced way
Team oriented individual with excellent communication and leadership skills
Possess an understanding of student development philosophy as it relates to recreational sports on a university campus and a knowledge of current trends in campus recreational sports programs
Strong computer skills

This position requires a criminal history background check
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Student Development, Recreation and/or related field
Three or more years of professional experience in the management and administration of budgets and financial systems
Prior experience with staff hiring and other business operation procedures and practices
Knowledge of campus recreation theory and best practices
Active in professional organizations
