Job Purpose: Develop and lead the Campus Recreation Center's (CRC) member recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies. Generate membership revenue through membership and through recruiting and managing Institute, community, and summer group use of the CRC. Manage facility access for members and for external groups.
Develop and lead the CRC's member recruitment strategy including new member marketing, promotions, trial membership, tours, orientations, surveys, events, and member referral program.
Oversee member services desk staffing, including hiring, training and supervising student employees. Train member services staff on membership software, customer service, and risk management.
Coordinate the member retention program including member appreciation events, renewals, retention reward programs, and member exit surveys. Solicit and synthesize member feedback, and recommend and implement membership improvement efforts.
Compile and report statistical data for revenue/expenses and memberships.
Coordinate Institute, community, and summer group access to the CRC. Communicate and coordinate operations and events with other CRC management and staff.
Coordinate facility access for external rental groups.
Administrative tasks such as budgeting and deposits related to membership and program sales.
Additional Information: Full time schedule is 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
Impact & Influence: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Members, potential members, campus recreation staff of all levels, staff in several departments, student, faculty and alumni groups, and external rental groups. This position will advise and counsel: members, potential members, and student employees. This position will supervise: N/A
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as business, marketing, hospitality, recreation, or other related field or equivalence experience.
Work Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience supervising or advising student leaders.
Skills: Knowledge of the operations and services provided in a large recreation complex. Strong customer service skills, membership recruitment and retention, and sales. Skills in communication, planning, service delivery and conflict resolution. Basic knowledge of office related computer applications and expanded knowledge of Excel and data reporting. Demonstrated commitment to staff development. Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Education: Master's degree.

Preferred Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED Instructor.
