The Recreation Graduate Assistant will directly report to the Director of Campus Recreation.
I. Recreation • Assist with overall administration of all recreational programming. • Assist in managing a comprehensive Fitness and Wellness program to include: Group Fitness, Personal Training and Wellness resources • Ensure high standards of facility and program maintenance and cleanliness • Provide risk management training to student staff members • Promote and market all fitness and wellness programs • Assist with preparation and execution of any special events • Purchase and inventory all equipment associated with the program. • Promote and implement faculty/staff-specific wellness and incentive programs. • Create promotional materials and assist in marketing Fitness and Aquatics through social media and other interpersonal methods • Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development trainings to the fitness leadership team including but limited to student instructors II. Administration • Coordinate program business operations including, but not limited to: o Budget maintenance o Purchasing o Travel o General clerical duties
• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a related field • Previous experience in sports and recreation programs or facilities • Familiarity with current trends within recreational sports profession • Excellent communication skills • Acceptance into Bryant University Graduate school program. • NIRSA Member preferred • Must be First Aid/CPR certified
