The department of Sports and Recreation is seeking a dynamic professional to build, manage, and assess a comprehensive aquatic program and oversee the daily operations of two aquatic facilities, Student Recreation and Activities Center on the Kennesaw campus and the Recreation and Wellness Center on the Marietta campus. The Aquatics Coordinator will report directly to the Associate Director of Programs and will collaborate regularly with the Facility Operations team to manage the aquatic facility operations. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to team work, customer service, ethical leadership, and talent development for student staff members. This position of trust will contribute to the department’s mission, vision, and values.
Manage the daily operations of the Department of Sports and Recreation aquatic facilities on two campuses including two indoor pools and two outdoor pools
Directly supervise and manage approximately 30 aquatics staff members which includes lifeguards, head lifeguards, and swim instructors
Coordinate, promote and evaluate a comprehensive aquatic program including youth and adult swimming lessons, safety courses, and special events
Manage the aquatics operational and program budgets and coordinate the purchase, inventory, and maintenance of aquatic equipment and supplies
Complete and submit monthly comprehensive analytical and statistical reports including aquatic facility usage and programs
Work with the Facility Operations team to inspect, evaluate, and troubleshoot aquatic operations to maintain safe and clean environment daily
Assess the success and effectiveness of aquatic programming via solicitation for patron feedback, surveys, comment cards, and evaluation of program statistics
Assist in conducting CPR/AED and First Aid Trainings for approximately 300 student employees
