Ball State University is seeking a Coordinator of Competitive Sports and Community Programs to administer all aspects of Competitive Sports (Intramural Sports and Club Sports), Community programs (Cardinal Kids Camp, Learn to Swim, Birthday Parties, and Family Swim) for the Office of Sports Facilities Management & Recreational Services; position’s work schedule includes nights & weekend responsibilities. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in in physical education, recreation/sport administration or related field from an accredited college or university. At least one year of professional recreation experience. Intramural/Club Sport management experience. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University’s vehicle policies & procedures. Instructor Certification in CPR/AED/First-Aid or willing to obtain within first six months.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. At least two years of professional experience in college or university recreation programming. High School Sports Officiating Certification(s), Youth & Family programming experience in but not limited to youth camps, swim lessons, or other youth activity programming. Active in National Intramural Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA)
