You will work with the Aquatics Manager to help run Harvard's 2 pools. You will help manage a large staff of lifeguards and desk monitors, including hiring, scheduling, training and supervision. You will oversee pool operations, including facility maintenance, policy development, equipment procurement, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including the State Health Code for pool safety and operations. You will plan and prepare for numerous events, including Ivy League championships, Special Olympics, club competitions, and some national and regional championships. Pools are used by recreation members as well as Varsity sports (Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving, and Men's & Women's Water Polo).
Evening and weekend work is required, including on-call responsibility.
Bachelor's degree required. Must have 2 years' experience managing and supervising people. Must have current, valid Lifeguard certification. Must have current, valid Lifeguard certification. Experience in Aquatics management strongly preferred.
