The Intramural Sports Intern at Bryant University will directly report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation.
This is a part-time, 10-month, temporary position. The position pays $10,000 and includes on-campus housing, as well as access to all program equipment and facilities. The expected start date for this position is Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Work hours are Sunday-Thursday afternoons and evenings, with some hours required on Friday/Saturday.
The principal accountabilities of the Intramural Sports Intern include but are not limited to the following:
Assist with direct responsibility of the Intramural Program
Assist with day to day operations of the intramural program
Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate student officials, statisticians, and supervisors
Provide risk management training to student staff members
Promote and market intramural programs
Assist with preparation and execution of any special events
Purchase and inventory all equipment associated with the program.
Coordinate program business operations including, but not limited to:
General clerical duties
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a related field
Previous experience in sports and recreation programs or facilities
Familiarity with current trends within recreational sports profession
Excellent communication skills
NIRSA Member preferred
Must be First Aid/CPR certified
