Serve as the senior leader and administrator of UT Tyler's Recreational Sports program which includes Facilities Planning & Operations, Intramural Events & Tournaments, Club Sports, Fitness/Wellness Programs, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, and Summer Programs. Manage all fitness, recreation, athletic facilities, and trail system. Maintain department budgets, perform long-term planning, design, expansion, maintenance oversight, and continuous quality improvement of programs and facilities. Develop a strategic plan, evaluate services, supervise department staff, and collaborate whenever possible.
Five or more years of progressive professional leadership experience in campus recreation, facilities, planning, budgeting, and personnel management.
Strong computer skills.
Ed.D. or Ph.D.
Experience with Collegiate Athletics, Intramural, Recreational Sports Programs, Aquatics, Summer Programs, Outdoor Recreation, Club Sports, and/or Fitness/Wellness Programs.
Membership in the National Registry hosted by the National Inter-Collegiate Recreational Sports Association.
