The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch is now seeking an experienced professional to lead our Fitness team in the position of Fitness Director at Cordillera Ranch. Our fitness program is in an exclusive private club setting located just outside Boerne, Texas in the Hill Country. Our program includes group fitness classes offered weekly, private training, private and group pilates, and a staff of six trainers and instructors. Our facilities include a state of the art fitness center, pilates studio, group exercise room, private training studio and outdoor pools.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for providing exceptional customer service, experience in leading a fitness program, private training and teaching exercise classes. Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of related experience and previous experience in overseeing a fitness program. The Fitness Director is responsible for direct supervision of Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors. Work schedule is generally T-S, 8-5 with some nights and weekends as needed.
Responsible for Personal Training Program:
Development of all personal training programming including: 1 on 1 sessions, small group and specialized training offerings
Supervise evaluate, interview, and train all personal trainers
Maintain records and submit reports of participation.
Along with the Recreation Director, supervise and mentor the Independent Contractors in the Fitness Program.
Develop and implement fitness activities for members and guest including group fitness, summer camps, et.
Collect data and conduct program assessment for all fitness programming
Supervision of Fitness Staff & Independent Contractors
Assist the Recreation Director with supervision of fitness staff to include hiring, scheduling, evaluating, and training.
Oversee payroll and payout for Fitness staff & Independent Contractors
Provide logistical support for several special events throughout the year.
Maintain budget and work within budgetary guidelines to develop programs and services.
Train all fitness staff and oversee fitness related risk management.
Other duties as assigned.
Annual base salary of $26,000; 70% of revenues related to personal training; TBD % of revenues related to fitness classes; Total compensation package of approximately $50-$55k annually projected.

You will be eligible to accrue vacation after completion of the first 90 days of employment. Vacation accruals are based on length of service. (Please refer to our employee handbook for details).

Required Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation Management, Health Promotion or related field
Experience: One year experience managing fitness programs. Experience conducting fitness assessments and developing individual exercise prescriptions. Experience in personal training and group exercise instruction
Certifications: Current CPR/AED; nationally accredited certification in health/fitness and/or personal training.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience (a completed two-year Graduate Assistantship will be counted as one year of professional experience)
