Job Duties: Recruit, hire, train, supervise & evaluate Group Exercise instructors - Teach a variety of group exercise classes - Assist in creating semester-long schedules (80+ classes) - Assist in the implementation and facilitation of instructor-in-training program - Promote & market Group Exercise program through a variety of outlets & formats - Maintain tracking system & data on participation and accurate fiscal, payroll, incident and accident reports - Update employee manual & policies - Assist in research, purchase, storage, distribution & inventory of equipment and supplies - Assist in the creation and administration of fitness educational programming and events throughout the calendar year - Perform other duties assigned and alongside the Fitness Coordinator.
Period of Appointment: August 9, 2018 - May 10, 2019. Summer work may be available, as well.

Bachelors degree; experience in a university fitness/group exercise program.
Minimum one year of experience in fitness instruction, personal training or coordinating group fitness programs.
Demonstrated management skills including strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills preferred.
Those seeking a career in fitness and/or recreation will receive preference.
Full acceptance into a USC-Columbia graduate program.
Additional Salary Information: $7,500 stipend for your first contract (Aug-May). Second year contract may increase.
Candidate will be granted in-state tuition waiver and $10,000 of tuition will be covered.

Each facility is located adjacent to an outdoor field complex, offering a total of 8 multipurpose fields. Development is currently underway for additional outdoor programming space.
