This is a 10 month GA position, starting July 10, 2018.
This position will pay a $6,000 stipend and includes Graduate Tuition, On-Campus Apartment Housing and a Meal Plan.
This position will be responsible for providing direct supervision to the IM Sports program, Sport Club, and Outdoor Recreation Trips and Rental Center. The GA will also lend support to the overall operation of the Department of Campus Recreation and its programs. This role requires the GA to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours as well be on-call to solve program-related issues during non-traditional business hours.
- Provide on-site supervision to Intramurals, Sport Clubs and Outdoor Rec Trips - Interview, hire, mentor, train, and evaluate a staff of at least 15 officials, 5 trip leaders, 8 supervisors and 3 coordinators. - Conduct regular staff meetings - Assist with the management of the Campus Recreation risk management program - Assist with the purchase of program equipment and staff uniforms - Schedule competition and officials through IM Leagues - Market programs through a variety of media including IM Leagues, Facebook, OrgSync and Twitter - Provide support to divisional and University-wide events including Provide support to divisional and University-wide events - Will be handling the Financial Responsibilities as indicated on the attached Finance Security Addendum Form.
Progressive experience as a intramural staff member, sport club officer, and/or trip leader.
Direct student supervisory experience
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
