The University of Florida Department of Recreational Sports is now accepting applications for the position of Coordinator for the Center for Outdoor Recreation & Education (CORE). This position oversees and manages a comprehensive outdoor recreation program to include: the Center for Outdoor & Recreation Education facility; one day, weekend, extended outdoor and international trips, outdoor leadership training, equipment rentals, resource library, and educational opportunities and experiences for the UF community; provide leadership and direction in equipment purchases, replacement, repair, and long range planning; supervise, mentor, evaluate, and provide professional development to the CORE leadership team and recruit, hire, schedule, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate the CORE student staff; provide oversight and instruction for the outdoor leadership course; and coordinate all aspects of risk management that pertain to the CORE program.
Salary: Commensurate with Experience. The minimum requirements for the position are a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and relevant experience in outdoor recreation management and trip coordination and leading.
