POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time professional exempt staff position with full benefits. The Coordinator for Student Personnel has significant responsibilities for recruiting, hiring, administration, ongoing support for the department's nearly 900 student employees and assisting with the student development program. Specific responsibilities include conducting initial screening interviews of applicants being considered for all RecWell student positions, verifying that all required administrative paperwork is completed prior to employment, organizing and delivering orientation, customer service, sexual misconduct prevention, and safety/risk management training programs for all new student employees. Some evening and weekend work is required.
START DATE: June 1, 2018, preferred.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, the range is $52,000-$58,000.
BENEFITS: 22 days annual leave, 14 paid holidays, 3 days personal leave, 15 days sick leave; University contributions to health insurance and retirement plans; tuition remission.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, as a minimum: a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience working in a collegiate/community recreation environment or in a human resources position with responsibility for training and development, strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Master’s Degree, current American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor Certification, and experience conducting workplace safety and/or customer service training.
