The Coordinator of Club Sports is responsible for the overall direction, development, and management of the Club Sports program for the Department of Recreation at Butler University.
Serve as primary advisor and liaison to club sports officers and participants.
Create and maintain club sport policies and procedures; risk management, financial/budgeting, training, travel, equipment/inventory, roster management and recruitment, facility reservations, league affiliations
Advise Club Sports Council (CSC) on all budget allocation exercises and other administrative items.
Work with HR to implement and maintain process of recruiting, screening, and approving of coach/team agreements.
Serve as primary Butler liaison and representative to all external facilities, leagues, alumni, coaches, vendors, etc.
Work collaboratively with Business Office, Purchasing Office, Student Affairs, Admission, and other Butler partners, to ensure a positive student experience is streamlined and clearly communicated.
Implement leadership training programs for club officers and others.
Responsible for programming oversight that occurs during high volume participation times (including nights and weekends)
Collect and maintain comprehensive participation and financial records for semester and annual assessment reports (participation, tournaments, extramural events, club practices and competitions) for short/long term planning of goals, policies and strategies.
Collaborate with both BU’s and Recreation’s marketing programs to create unique branding ideas through poster design, website content, digital signage, social media, and promotional items.
