Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, Facility Operations, the Coordinator, Membership Services is responsible for the following:
Manage the daily operations of the Student Recreation Center Membership Services area
Assist Assistant Director in developing and enforcing policies and procedures regarding access, membership and program registration, and equipment issue
Manage all frontline/front-of-house aspects of management software
Coordinate access and entry logistics for activities and events and rentals occurring in the Student Recreation Center
Manage the inventory control and maintenance procedures for checkout equipment and supplies, and retail items
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate membership services staff, student assistant employees, and volunteers to include student supervisors, team leaders, managers, undergraduate and graduate assistants, as well as academic interns
Assist in managing the Student Recreation Center Membership Services budget, including budget development, income and expense projections, budget monitoring; and adherence to budget
Assist business office in the execution of daily cash handling and accounting operations as related to point of sale areas in the Student Recreation Center
Assists Assistant Director in conducting comprehensive on-site safety inspections to ensure that all facilities and programs are conducted in accordance with approved rules and regulations that address participant safety as a high priority
Assists Assistant Director in limiting USU liability to claims by ensuring that customers are provided with and fully understand pertinent safety information prior to program participation; ensures that customers complete written release of liability statements for all activities, and maintains record of same
Assists Assistant Director in ensuring the practice of safety/risk management procedures
Assists Assistant Director in ensuring participant accident reports, employee injury reports, incident reports, supervisor’s logs and safety suggestions of staff and participants are maintained and reviewed regularly, and ensures recurring accidents, trends or unusual situations are analyzed and appropriate changes implemented
Assists Assistant Director in coordinating staff safety training activities and ensures that staff meets minimum qualifications, certification and standards required by individual job assignments
Assess the effectiveness, and satisfaction with, the membership services and overall facility
Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community
Prepare written communications such as monthly reports, annual reports, facility usage statistics, etc.
Actively participate on a variety of Student Recreation Center, University Student Union, and University committees as assigned
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Equivalent to a minimum of two years of professional-level experience managing customer/membership services in a leisure/recreation/sport facility. Experience with installation, training, and implementation of membership management software preferred.

Additional Salary Information: The anticipated hiring range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience and will be as follows:
Hourly: $22.70 - $25.10
Bi-Weekly: 1,816.15 - $2,007.69
Annually: 47,220 - $52,200
