POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time professional exempt staff position with full benefits. The Coordinator for Facility Reservations & Event Services is responsible for managing reservations and the facility use agreements for all University Recreation & Wellness facilities. Specific responsibilities include: maintaining and posting facility schedules in EMS (Event Management Systems); fielding incoming reservation requests for student organizations and RecWell internal requests, and communicate options, availability, and pricing; producing facility use agreements; acting as a liaison between facility use customers and facilities staff; initiating post event invoices and communicating with the Coordinator of Business Services regarding the status of unpaid invoices; conducting post event evaluations with designated facility managers; managing selected facility events; maintaining virtual EMS; manage event planning with clients for outdoor and select indoor facilities; serving as on-site event manager as needed. Some evening and weekend work is required.
START DATE: May 21, 2018, preferred.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, the range is $50,000 -- $58,000.
BENEFITS: 22 days annual leave, 14 paid holidays, 3 days personal leave, 15 days sick leave; University contributions to health insurance and retirement plans; tuition remission.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, as a minimum: a Bachelor’s degree; one year of experience with facility scheduling and/or facility event management, strong written and oral communication skills; demonstrated customer service skills; demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills; knowledge of Windows and web-based applications; demonstrated ability to implement and use technological tools. Preferred: Master’s degree; experience with EMS (Event Management Systems) or other scheduling software; experience working in a collegiate or community recreation environment.
