The Sports Club Coordinator will advise, mentor and instruct sport club officers and participants in gaining life-long skills and enhancing the students’ leadership through the programming of club meetings and educational workshops. This position will manage the Sport Club program in compliance with industry standards and best practices with the goal of providing a safe and meaningful out of the classroom experience.
The primary responsibilities include:
Risk management liaison for sports clubs
Ensure safety of facilities and equipment
Hire, train and schedule sports club assistants and conduct trainings and meetings with sports club assistants
Advise sport club budget allocation and assist sports clubs with maintaining club budgets to include expenditures and revenue
Currently, the Sport Club program has 60+ registered sport clubs with 3,000+ participants.

Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience or Bachelors degree and 3 years related experience.
Requires a variable work schedule which may include early mornings or evenings, as well as weekends and nights, and the ability to attend on and off campus events.
Must possess current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
The preferred candidate has a master's degree in recreational management or related field. Experience with student organization/sport club advising and financial management is highly desirable.
