Primary Responsibilities Include: overseeing day-to-day operations of the Intramural, Clubs, and Risk Management programs. Responsibilities in these areas include hiring, training, managing and evaluating supervisors and officials, running captain’s meetings, scheduling and conducting in-service training, promoting the program and performing related duties as assigned. Working with Sports Clubs and Risk Management Teams. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing special events and assisting in supervising select evening programs. Secondary responsibilities include supervising and scheduling graduate assistant working in the program, assisting with special programming,and working with organizations campus-wide in planning special activities. Summer activities may include but are not limited to assisting with orientations and summer camps. Evening and weekend work will be required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years of progressive experiences in intramural sports; OR Graduate assistant experience can be substituted for the 2 year experience requirement.
Master’s degree preferred.
4 or more years of professional experience.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills are essential.
Previous experience working with a collegiate intramural program with exposure to budget preparation, risk management policies, and student development skills preferred.
Demonstrated experience in computer operations, word processing capabilities, and web page development experience is preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid with AED certification preferred.
Sports officiating certifications is preferred.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodation.
Ability to communicate with reasonable accommodation.
This position requires a criminal and a financial background check. Will also need to complete the state of GA employee compliance yearly. Also will need to pass AAA training to drive vehicles.
Full-Time, fully benefited (30+ hours)
40 hours per week
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
