Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration, Sports Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Experience: Two to three years job related experience
Certifications: Lifeguard and First Aid certification; Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications
Skills: This job requires strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team; effective decision-making skills and leadership development competencies, demonstrated ability to manage, supervise and mentor employees; demonstrated integrity, ethics and commitment to diversity and inclusion; and ability to develop learning outcomes and assessment reports.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration or related field
Preferred Work Experience: N/A
Preferred Certifications: Certified Pool Operator; Lifeguard Instructor certification from Red Cross, Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience (STAR), or Ellis and Associates. If Lifeguard certification is not Ellis and Associates, must be willing to get Ellis certification within 90 days of employment.
