The Department of Sports and Recreation at Kennesaw State University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Club Sports Coordinator. The Club Sports Coordinator uses a hands-on approach to determine the needs of program participants and share information in a timely manner. Working with the Marketing coordinator this position assists with the comprehensive marketing presence and program advancement through tabling and recruitment events, and website updates. The Club Sports Coordinator provides direct assistance to the Club Sports teams logistical needs including but not limited to, rental vehicles, reimbursements; and also student development initiatives including but not limited to budgeting skills, team management and scheduling, and conflict resolution. The Club Sports Coordinator performs high-level administrative tasks such as participant eligibility and verification, study hall record maintenance, monitoring of volunteer and approved driver databases, and monitoring of travel and competition schedules. A strong component of this position is a strong commitment to team work, customer service, ethical leadership and student development.

Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience, including at least two years supervisory experience.
Master’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management or similar degree from an appropriately accredited institution. Graduate Assistantship and postgraduate education will be considered
Participation in, or work experience in, a Collegiate Club Sports program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
Experience supervising student staff; proven ability to mentor staff and effectively handle personnel issues when necessary
American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, AED Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of higher date
Active NIRSA Member
Proven experience growing innovative programs
Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations based on the data/feedback
