Overview: The Assistant Director of Recreation, Student & Member Services is responsible for leading a comprehensive student & member services operation for the Recreation Center & Daskalakis Athletic Complex. This position will lead the member services team to provide excellent customer service to the Drexel University community including students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Oversee daily operations of Student & Member Services.
Provide leadership to the Coordinator of Member Services.
Develop and implement member services policies & procedures including (but not limited to) membership sales, guest passes, facility access, locker services, and the like.
Oversee recruiting, hiring, managing and training of member service student staff and co-op employees.
Possess skills in effective listening and communication with members and staff; be able to trouble shoot and problem solve effectively.
Superior computer skills preferred.
Bachelors Degree in communications/marketing, health promotion or a fitness-related field. Master's preferred.
2-3 years' experience in campus recreation or health club setting preferred.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, students and members.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
