Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Intramural & Recreational Sports Office Intern at the Daytona Beach campus. This position will provide support to the Intramural Sports Program as well as the Intramural & Recreational Sports office.
Job duties include administrative support for the office, providing customer service in the office and over the phone, selling theme park tickets, and help manage the front desk staff. Intramural sports duties include organizing leagues and tournaments, handling day to day tasks for sporting events, coordinate officials’ schedules and training, supervise and critique officials, administer captains’ meetings, set up and tear down sporting events, assist in marketing program including creating flyers, managing social media outlets and promoting the program at various campus and assist with new program ideas.
Work under the Intramural and Recreational Sports Director providing administrative support for the office.
Work with the Intramural Program under the Assistant Director for Intramurals. In support of various programs and related areas to Intramural Sports.
Other duties assigned within the scope of Departmental Functions and activities.
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related area of study.
One year of work related experience.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
