Create, implement, promote and evaluate campus wide health related initiatives for Oakland University students. Collaborate with University departments to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to promote student wellness. Advocate for a shared vision that health promotion is the responsibility of all campus and community members. Develop, implement and analyze local, regional and national level student health surveys that provide baseline and follow-up health data, identify program needs, evaluate the effectiveness of programs and track trends in student health behaviors. Hire, train and supervise student interns and peer ambassadors. This position is a shared service among University Recreation and Well-Being and University Housing and reports to the University Recreation and Well-Being Associate Director. Bachelor's degree in a health related field or a combination of education and/or experience. One year experience in an area related to health promotion and education, preferably in higher education or a combination of education, training and experience. Must have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of best practices in college health. Experience in marketing/promoting programs and services. Experience and training in wellness coaching. Ability to hire, train, supervise and evaluate peer well-being ambassadors. Ability to establish priorities and work independently. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
