The University of Wyoming is excited to announce the position opening for the Intramural Sports Coordinator. Note, all applications must be received by June 13th at 11:59pm MST.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Administration of all aspects of the Intramural Sports Program.
Oversee 50-75 part time student employees and one Graduate Assistant. Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate one Graduate Assistant and 50-75 part time employees. Coordinate training on Intramural Sports student employee positions in Campus Recreation.
Develop, organize and carry out over 50 IM programs during the academic year and 10 during summer session.
Assist with safety training for Campus Recreation student employees with other employees. Assist with scheduling and developing safety training through "mock" emergency situations held at least once each semester. Evaluate and reinforce safety procedures during weekly student staff meetings.
Coordinate a comprehensive Intramural schedule in a number of facilities working closely with the City of Laramie and Intercollegiate Athletics, etc.
Serve on University and departmental committees and projects as appointed. Represent Campus Recreation by contributing to university-wide committees that further the overall mission of the University. Serve on departmental committees and complete necessary tasks which advance the objectives of the department.
Bachelor's Level Degree and 2 years of employment experience in collegiate recreational sports.
Defensive Driving or ability to obtain within six months.
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within six months.
Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy Found at: http://www.uwyo.edu/auxserv/fleet/Official-Vehicle-Policy/OVP.pdf
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Master's level degree.
One year full-time professional experience administering a collegiate Intramural Sports program.
Experience supervising, training, and evaluating student staff.
